Catching up

So much has happened in my life since I kind of forgot about Blogger around the beginning of 2010. Over 4 years have past since I blogged last. Let's start from where we left off.
I couldn't find any work besides a part time job at Hollister in Kansas City. After a little while there, I had a job opportunity back in St. Louis. So I packed up and moved back. Which worked out because right before I moved to KC I started dating a girl who lived back in St. Louis.
My buddy Joe, who I originally moved in with in KC, moved in with me in St Charles. It was a great time. My girlfriends lease was up and we were getting serious, so she moved in. Joe moved back to KC.
I was deployed with a couple small missions to Germany and Haiti. Those were great.
In 2011 I decided that my girlfriend, Kaitlin, was it for me. One day I called her and said I was getting an award at drill, and that she should come up. My commander called me up during formation and I proposed right there. (You can find the whole thing on YouTube).
We got married in October of 2012. Just a few months later she was diagnosed with ulcerative colitase. This was new to us and didn't think we would ever have to deal with a chronic disease. But that didn't stop us from moving forward with our life. Late that year we got pregnate.
One day, 13 weeks into the pregnancy, we went to the emergency room because she was having sever abdomanal pain and other symptoms. After a few days and a transfer to a bigger hospital, they discovered her colon had ruptured and took her in for emergency surgery. They had to remover her colon, which was basically falling apart as they removed it, and had to give her a colostomy. Both she and the baby came out alright though.
Things moved pretty quickly after this. Her parents moved in to help her while I was at work. We started looking then quickly found and bought a house. While closing on the house, things took a little longer than we thought. So we had to make a few changes so we could sign for the house becfore the baby came.
July 29, 2013, our boy Landon was born. He is just amazing. We are so in love with this little boy. And everyday we love him even more. He is our miracle baby.
During this time, my wife's grandfather was in the hospital and not doing well. He decided that he was ready. Luckily all three of us got to go see him. It was important for him to meet our son. He had prayed so much for him, and he always called him a miracle.
We moved into our house, my wife got rid of her colostomy, and had a surgery to get a J pouch. But just recently they believe that she also has endometriosis.
It is now April 14, 2014. So much has happened, but there is so much more ahead.
Joe and I have been working on a YouTube comic book recently that we hope to get up soon. Our friend is animating it and it's going to look awesome. Of course it's about zombies.
So this is where things are at now. Married, a son, a house, and a crazy story. Here's to hoping I don't drop off for another four years.

Cheers
