Catching up

So much has happened in my life since I kind of forgot about Blogger around the beginning of 2010. Over 4 years have past since I blogged last. Let's start from where we left off.
I couldn't find any work besides a part time job at Hollister in Kansas City. After a little while there, I had a job opportunity back in St. Louis. So I packed up and moved back. Which worked out because right before I moved to KC I started dating a girl who lived back in St. Louis.
My buddy Joe, who I originally moved in with in KC, moved in with me in St Charles. It was a great time. My girlfriends lease was up and we were getting serious, so she moved in. Joe moved back to KC.
I was deployed with a couple small missions to Germany and Haiti. Those were great.
In 2011 I decided that my girlfriend, Kaitlin, was it for me. One day I called her and said I was getting an award at drill, and that she should come up. My commander called me up during formation and I proposed right there. (You can find the whole thing on YouTube).
We got married in October of 2012. Just a few months later she was diagnosed with ulcerative colitase. This was new to us and didn't think we would ever have to deal with a chronic disease. But that didn't stop us from moving forward with our life. Late that year we got pregnate.
One day, 13 weeks into the pregnancy, we went to the emergency room because she was having sever abdomanal pain and other symptoms. After a few days and a transfer to a bigger hospital, they discovered her colon had ruptured and took her in for emergency surgery. They had to remover her colon, which was basically falling apart as they removed it, and had to give her a colostomy. Both she and the baby came out alright though.
Things moved pretty quickly after this. Her parents moved in to help her while I was at work. We started looking then quickly found and bought a house. While closing on the house, things took a little longer than we thought. So we had to make a few changes so we could sign for the house becfore the baby came.
July 29, 2013, our boy Landon was born. He is just amazing. We are so in love with this little boy. And everyday we love him even more. He is our miracle baby.
During this time, my wife's grandfather was in the hospital and not doing well. He decided that he was ready. Luckily all three of us got to go see him. It was important for him to meet our son. He had prayed so much for him, and he always called him a miracle.
We moved into our house, my wife got rid of her colostomy, and had a surgery to get a J pouch. But just recently they believe that she also has endometriosis.
It is now April 14, 2014. So much has happened, but there is so much more ahead.
Joe and I have been working on a YouTube comic book recently that we hope to get up soon. Our friend is animating it and it's going to look awesome. Of course it's about zombies.
So this is where things are at now. Married, a son, a house, and a crazy story. Here's to hoping I don't drop off for another four years.

Cheers

Easier

Here's another song.

No I won't call you or knock on your door, no I won't bother you no more

because you know I think it's better off this way

I'll keep my distance I won't talk to your friends, I've made up my mind I'm not riding that fence

because you know I think it's better off this way

It's easier if you could only see I'm better off if I just let you leave

honey I'm running out of time to get you out of my mind it's easier this way

It's not gonna be easy forgetting about you, many sleepless nights but it's what I must do

because you know I think I'm better off this way

Erase all the messages you left on my phone, gotta get used to the thought of sleeping all alone

because you know I think I'm better off this way

It's easier if you could only see I'm better off if I just let you leave

and honey I am running out of time to get you out of my mind, it's easier this way

If you would understand the reason for this plan I'm tired down here on my knees

when I decide to say that I rather you away it's only cause it's best for me

and I don't mean to start, but you're still pulling on my heart and I just have to let you know

I feel that I might break to the point I begin to shake because I still have yet to let you go

man on the side

This is a song that I've written. I dig it when I finish a song so I'll put a few of the ones I've made up here.

Tell me what do you think of me, because I admire you, you're heart so true, like I want to be
does he love you like he should, make you feel at home, safe and not alone like I know I could
why do you lay awake at night, do your heart and your brain start to strain as they start to fight
i hope you begin to understand i love you so won't ever let you go but don't want to be the other man

I promise I will never let you down or make you cry so lets run away
take my hand look in my eyes I'll hold you close let me hear you say

I'm not the man on the side, all of my love you won't deny
jump on this train, I'll take you away from this town
I am the only man, nobody else will hold your hand
pull down the shades, stay in bed for three days away from the sun

I've been waiting for so long, you're always on my mind, it feels so right how could it be wrong
please stay don't want to watch you go, stay a little while let me see that precious smile don't be scared of the unknown
kiss me let me know you care listen to what you say love you every single day ill always be there
baby my love belongs to you hold in your hand the heart of this man it's tested and true

I'll take you away to be your escape now tell me is that so absurd
i ask nothing more than to just be sure so please just say those words

that i'm not the man on the side, i'm not the one you will deny
jump on this train let me take you away from this town
i am the only man nobody else will hold your hand
pull down the shades, stay in bed for three whole days away from the sun

Kansas City

So, I moved to Kansas City. It's huge and I don't know the area. I'm slowly learning it, but it's hard when you've lived in the same area for 23 years. It's stupid seeing as how I can drive you all over the country of Kosovo, but I can't take you anywhere that is only 3 hours away from where I grew up. Lameballs. I moved up with my roommate Sam in with my oldest friends Joe and Chris. I'm still looking for a job, which blows. But so far it's been ok. I have a few friends who I was deployed with that live at the other end of the road, so that's good too.

Well, this is pretty much all that has been going on. New things are developing and hopefully it all goes great. Lets just hope that i get a job soon so that my nerves will be settled. I'm excited to see what this new chapter in my life brings. Well, here we go. In the words of Doc. "Where we're going Marty, we don't need roads."

Hello New World

Hello world of blogging. After much hesitation and plain boredom, I have decided to give into the idea of a blog. I like to write, and more so I like to write about nothing specific. So, here I go on a new adventure into the world wide web and all of it's interesting fads.

A little about me, I am at the moment working as a security officer at Boeing in the St. Louis area. But in a few short, hopefully, weeks I will be starting anew in Kansas City. I'm taking my roommate with me to move in with a couple friends of mine. Hilarity ensues.

I am going to go through the police academy and be a cop... eventually. But until then, I am just a 23 year old man who is out to live life and hopefully not drink himself to death in the process. But if I do, then I've lived a good life.

With the characters that I live with, and my personality as well, I figure there will be some good stories, adventures, and probably misadventures to write about. Hopefully, in doing so, I will be able to have some material for the films that we make.

That is pretty much me in summary. I hope to keep this up and when I read over I am thoroughly amused. Enjoy.
